Over the Spring semester, EDvance hosted events to strengthen community and enhance students' sense of belonging. These initiatives provided opportunities for students to connect, engage, and celebrate their shared journey.

One key event, the Mid-Semester Mixer, offered students a chance to relax and build connections during the semester. Attendees participated in a painting activity, creatively expressing their interpretations of EDvance’s mission. This exercise highlighted the program’s impact and reinforced shared values.

The mixer also included raffles and interactions with faculty members Jennifer Ventura and Lucero Irizarry, as well as Writing Coach Tiffany Schaefer. These engagements fostered meaningful dialogue and deepened student-faculty relationships.

Additionally, EDvance organized an event for students to decorate graduation caps in preparation for the May 10th commencement, celebrating their achievements and personalizing their graduation experience.

Special thanks to Student Success Advocate and Coordinator Ana Enriquez Mejicanos and Andrea Cruz for their thoughtful planning and commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging environment.

These events underscore EDvance’s dedication to building a supportive community, inspiring students through shared experiences, and reinforcing the importance of connection in their academic journey.
