Celebrating Connection and Community: Highlights from Our First Winter Send-Off

On December 6th, we hosted our first-ever Winter Send-Off Celebration, an evening dedicated to connection, reflection, and celebration. Staff, faculty, current and prospective students gathered in our office to close out the Fall 2024 semester with warmth and joy. This event was a chance to pause, unwind, and honor the hard work and accomplishments of our community.

At its heart, this celebration embodied one of our core values: creating a sense of community and belonging. These moments of togetherness remind us that success isn’t just about academic milestones—it’s about fostering meaningful relationships and providing a supportive environment where everyone feels valued.

Throughout the evening, attendees shared stories, laughter, and ideas for the future. Whether it was connecting over shared experiences or simply enjoying the activities, the sense of camaraderie in the room was undeniable.

This event would not have been possible without our amazing Student Success Team—Adriana Magana, Andrea Cruz, Ana Enriquez Mejicanos, and Nova San Diego. A special thank-you to Andrea for ensuring every detail was carefully planned and creating a space where everyone felt welcome and appreciated.
