Apprenticeship Sponsorship: Building Pathways for Early Childhood Educators

This year, with the support of ECEPTS, EDvance College proudly became a Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor. In July, our Apprenticeship Standards were approved by the U.S. Department of Labor for two key roles in early childhood education: Early Childhood Educator and Lead Early Childhood Educator. We are excited to pilot this program with Felton Institute, one of our dedicated employer partners.

Our apprenticeship program creates an earn-and-learn pathway, blending classroom learning with hands-on experience. This approach allows student-employees to earn their degrees, gain practical skills, and secure wage increases without sacrificing financial stability. By aligning our college programs with Registered Apprenticeship Standards, we ensure that both students and employer partners are supported through high-quality, career-advancing opportunities.

In addition to serving as a sponsor, this work allows EDvance to strengthen its role as the Related Technical Instruction (RTI) Provider for other Registered Apprenticeship programs sponsored by our partners. This important role enables us to provide specialized instruction and support to apprentices across various programs, further expanding the reach and impact of our work.
